Spring Valley's Ally Cat Runner
aka
"Ally"
DOB: May 21, 2013
OFA: Excellent
Weight: 47 lbs
Ally came out of the womb backing, pointing, handling, and retrieving wild birds. I shot many limits of wild birds over her at 5 months old. She backed Bo in sharptail country (the Dakotas) from 100 yrds away at only 4 months old with amazing intensity and style. She has been our super star since she arrived at our home in July of 2013. She handled quail in Kansas with the skill of a seasoned vet! From coveys to singles Ally never let us down.
In the spring of 2014 we entered Ally in 4 AKC field trials. At not even 1 yr of age she won 2 puppy trials, 1 derby, and placed 2nd in another derby. Ally ranked 2nd in the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of MN for Puppy of the Year even though she ran NO trials in the fall due to doing what she does best- Hunting!
Her second season of hunting in 2014 she handled many coveys of sharptail, huns, quail, and pheasants. Breaking Ally stop to flush was an easy process- she was broke this past year on wild birds and never lost a bit of her style.
Ally aims to please us; whether she is in the field or the house. She wants to do whatever you want to do. She loves the water and will retrieve anything out of the water as long as you are willing to throw it. Ally has been such a great addition to our family and we can not wait to see what the future has in store for this girl.
She is a true shooting dog range from horse back, but while hunting on foot with me she is a big going gun dog that handles with ease.
